Interprofessional Enhanced CBT
Interprofessional Collaborative Practice (IPCP) enhances care delivery by improving communication, role clarity, and shared decision-making, leading to more cohesive treatment. We have developed an interprofessional adaptation of Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT-IE) to facilitate collaboration between dietitians and psychologists in outpatient eating disorder care.
This interactive workshop will equip participants with practical skills and insights to implement CBT-IE and integrate IPCP principles in their clinical practice.
The workshop will cover:
An introduction to CBT-IE, its principles, and application.
A detailed overview of the CBT-IE treatment model, including discussion of a real-world case study.
Current evidence for applying IPCP to outpatient eating disorder treatment.
Strategies for dietitians and psychologists to collaborate most effectively in delivering outpatient eating disorder care.
Interactive activities, including:
Role-playing two core elements of CBT-IE.
Small group brainstorming and problem-solving sessions on practical implementation challenges.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Understand and Apply CBT-IE Principles
Enhance Interprofessional Collaboration in Eating Disorder Treatment
Develop Practical Skills for Implementing CBT-IE in an Interprofessional Context
