Dr Emma Dove & Dr Tiffany Calvert present 12 hours of LIVE in-person online training in Maudsley’s Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA) (June) | Zoom TIME: 10:00am - 5:00pm SUMMARY: A practical introduction to treating adult clients with Anorexia Nervosa using MANTRA. In this 12 hour workshop you will be taught the key elements and skills of MANTRA, a treatment developed at The Maudsley Clinic in London. In 2017, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) recommended MANTRA as a first line treatment for adults with anorexia nervosa, and it is one of the accepted treatments in Australia for clients being seen under Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plans (EDTPs). LEARNING OUTCOMES: • Key strategies for increasing client engagement and motivation • MANTRA case formulation • Working with clients to improve emotional tolerance and cognitive flexibility • Increasing support of close others in treatment and recovery ***NEDC has assessed this training as meeting the requirements outlined in the NEDC National Framework for Eating Disorder Training for an evidence-based treatment model training.*** PRESENTERS: Emma is a clinical psychologist and co-director of The Swan Centre - a multidisciplinary service in for children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders. She has over 10 years of experience in the treatment of severe and complex eating disorders, and is a member of the WA Eating Disorders Subnetwork group and organising committee for the 2021 Australian New Zealand Association for Eating Disorders conference. Emma has worked in the specialist eating disorder programmes at the Centre for Clinical Interventions and Hollywood Hospital, as well as the internationally-recognised SWAN research trial of treatments, including MANTRA, for adults with anorexia nervosa. Tiffany is the Lead Clinical Psychologist at Headway Psychology in WA. She is an experienced,A credentialed eating disorder clinician who works with clients across the lifespan with a range of eating and body image concerns. Tiffany has a particular interest in the integration of trauma-focused and eating disorder treatments, and in providing supervision in this area. Tiffany graduated with a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from The University of Western Australia in 2013. During her training she completed an internship at the Section of Eating Disorders at The Maudsley Hospital in London where she was supervised by Dr Ulrike Schmidt, who developed MANTRA.
