Shelly Hindle-Sinclair presents 12 hours of LIVE in-person online training in DBT Skills in Individual Therapy (March 2026) TITLE: DBT Skills in Individual Therapy: Practical Tools for Everyday Eating Disorder Practice TRAINING SUMMARY: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) offers practical, evidence-based skills for supporting clients with emotion regulation difficulties commonly seen in eating disorder presentations. This training is designed for clinicians working in individual therapy who want to integrate core DBT skills into everyday practice, without delivering a comprehensive DBT programme or running skills groups. The focus is on practical application, skill selection and how to meaningfully weave DBT strategies into individual eating disorder treatment. LEARNING OUTCOMES: • Understand the core DBT skills relevant to eating disorder presentations and emotion regulation difficulties. • Identify when and how DBT skills can be integrated into individual therapy, without delivering a comprehensive DBT programme. • Learn practical, skills-based strategies drawn from DBT and how to weave these into ongoing individual treatment with eating disorder clients. ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Shelly Hindle is a Clinical Psychologist based in New Zealand and the DBT lead across two public Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. She has extensive experience adapting DBT for eating disorder treatment across inpatient, day programme and outpatient settings, and delivers DBT training, supervision and consultation internationally, with a particular focus on practical, DBT-informed approaches for clinicians.
